
SP Roud — Stance Switch

Rock Dragon's ATK buff applies to both Assault (auto-attacks) and Burst (AoE skills), providing universal value regardless of stance. The -5% HP cost is offset by Assault Tier 2 lifesteal.

For dedicated Assault players: +90% Auto DMG is massive for Rush/Uppercut/Downslash. Only use if you stay in Assault stance most of the time.

Assault Stance (Single-Target Boss Killer). Premier single-target boss killer with guaranteed crits and ramping auto-DMG. Self-sustaining via lifesteal.
Skill: Stance Switch
Toggle between two stances:
Assault Stance (Blue): Auto-attack becomes Rush — dash to target, deal 1000% DMG (auto-attack damage scaling).
Burst Stance (Red): Auto-attack becomes Explosion Slash — fan-shaped AoE, deal 450% DMG (skill damage scaling).
The stance toggle is instant and can be used mid-combat to adapt to the situation. Assault is for bosses; Burst is for packs.

Why not Amethyst (CritDMG)? Tier 3 Assault already guarantees crits, so Amethyst is tempting. However, the guaranteed crit only applies in Assault stance — in Burst stance, you have no special crit synergy. Ruby provides consistent value in both stances. If you ONLY play Assault, swapping 1 Ruby for 1 Amethyst is viable.

Practical Advice: Most players keep Assault weapon affixes and swap to Burst stance for farming. Assault affixes (auto-ATK DMG) still provide base ATK which helps Burst, and you only lose the auto-specific bonus during Burst mode.
