Critical Discovery: Ifrit has a permanent fire aura (Buff 204420) that hits your entire team every 0.75 seconds. This is why your team slowly dies even when the tank holds aggro perfectly. Fire resist gems are mandatory.


Secondary Enrage (Hidden)

In addition to the standard enrage at 120s, Ifrit gains a separate stacking buff starting at 60 seconds:

This means your debuffs (stun, slow, freeze) become less reliable as the fight goes on.

  • Stats: HP +25%, DEF +100%, ATK +70% of Ifrit's base
  • Max 6 simultaneously — they pile up if not killed
  • Low individual threat but their combined damage with Immolation Aura adds up fast

Ifrit's fire damage is constant — Rock Dragon's DEF stacking + Moogle set's HP Recovery sustains through the burn. Taunt prevents Ifrit from targeting your DPS.

Strategy Summary

  1. Stack fire resist on everyone — The Immolation Aura hits your ENTIRE team every 0.75s. Diamond gems are not optional.
  2. Kill adds quickly — 6 fire demons + fire aura = overwhelming healing pressure. AoE DPS helps.
  3. Watch Earthquake Slam telegraph — Ifrit pulls back slightly before the 6-tile AoE slam. 50% stun chance on your whole team is fight-ending.
  4. Race the skill acceleration — Ifrit's skill CDs get 20 frames shorter every 20s. By 2 minutes, Earthquake Slam fires twice as often.
  5. Use freeze/stun early — Debuff resist stacks from 60s onward. Your CC window is the first minute.
