Why DEF-heavy in endgame? Chrysalis heals 150% DEF on shield break. Moguli of suit 4pc doubles this to an effective 300% DEF heal. Every Sapphire gem increases your shield size, your heal value, AND your mitigation simultaneously. With Moguli of suit active, the DEF scaling chain is: Sapphire base → Chrysalis +35% DEF buff → Moguli of suit +200 Pure DEF → Tortoise +45% DEF. HP only determines the 50% damage trigger threshold, making Sapphire far more efficient than Emerald.
